The art of successful home appliance design always creates tension. Rebuilding the traditional, but from a modern perspective or rather
deconstructing the relationship between people, product and space, but putting it back together in a way that feels pure and original.
Looking after multiple kind of kitchen appliances, the pure traditional one is mortar stone and pestle. With the time the product has lost its identity and by giving a new identity will bring incarnation to the mortar stone.
UNDERSTAND THE BASIC NATURE OF WORKING PRINCIPLE -
In-depth thought was given towards the basic working principle of mortar stone and pestle. The relative and close distance movement puts the spices to the crushed condition at the end. Talking about the movement there are two relative movement involved as shown. Any kind of way/operation falls majorly under these two categories though there may be exception.
INCARNATION OF THE TRADITIONAL TOOL INTO A TIMELESS KITCHEN APPLIANCE -
A new form is given to the basic principle of crushing and grinding inside the mortar stone and pestle. In mortar mix kitchen appliance, the red ball as shown acts as a main control ball. This main control ball will transmits the two basic movements to the pestle ball. Thus the resulted relative motion between the pestle and mortar will complete the crushing / grinding operation.
FUTURE OF MORTAR MIX -
In future, the mortar mix will take its space inside a modern kitchen keeping the value and quality of a traditional tool intact. With continuous modification and thought the mortar mix will enhance its beauty in an unbelievable manner.
The beauty of the mortar mix is its simplicity with which it performs an operation. Further various parts have their own characteristics to bring the required operation seamlessly. Parts like :

a) Knobs : A perfect operation required two inputs in linear form which controls the two basic movement
b) Removable cap : It holds the main control ball and allows the cleaning to happen in well desired manner.
c) Anti-slip platform : It doesn't allow the base to shift from its place when the operation will be carried out.
d) Mortar stone ball : Mortar stone with the steel base damps out the load and allows a silent operation.
